gravity: 1.006 @ 80°F =~ 1.008
smells relatively clean now. looking for chlorophenols in the aroma, and I don't think I can find any.
banana, black pepper, rye, bready malt, some clove all relatively balanced in the aroma.
looks VERY cloudy, dispensed from the bottom of the spiedel fermenter.
flavor: bold bready/grainy malt flavor with an even bitterness. slightly tart (not necessarily lactic/acetic) with moderate clove, black pepper, banana. some citrus/herbs from the hops also detectable but not too strong.
I consider this a SUCCESS! |
