Very pleased with 75 minute wort cooling using the flash cooler. Slower than immersion but no water waste at all. Got the volume for fermentation this time. Little loss. |

Using open fermentation.
Visual test. Huge pillowy krausen on surface. maybe we can get another beer out of this awesome yeast. I think the key this time was getting the strike temperature right at mash time. |

Nice aroma, Nice head retention. It's got malt backbone and the hops assert themselves properly to quench the thirst. This one is the best of the German ales made this spring.

This has been a real success even though it was intended as a Kolsch and ended up being an Alt. It's got it all- caramel, malt backbone, bitterness subdued, round layered malt, and a moderate alcohol feel. |
