WARNING: Kettle losses > 2% detected which throw off OG calculation for extract/partial mash recipes in batch target 'fermentor' mode. Solution: Reduce kettle losses, misc losses and hops absorption in equipment profile, OR set batch target to 'kettle' and do a full wort boil. See batch target FAQ.

Notes

One 11.5 gram packet of US-05 was used for this brew, and an apparent attenuation of 82% was achieved. The yeast was rehydrated in the wort, per the manufacturer's instructions.

A second packet of US-05 or a yeast starter would have achieved greater attenuation, but this particular brew benefits from a subtle sweetness.

No off flavors were present in the finished product.

Beer was bottled at approximately 70°F/21°C using 5 oz. of dextrose to achieve approximately 2.5 vols of carbonation.
