Joey Vogt gave me a 9-month old northern brewer kit to brew. Let's see how the old crush converts. Adding DME to this recipe just in case. shooting for 1.046 into the fermenter. |

Solo brew tonight for a Friday. Very cold, had my snowmobile suit on. Ladies at grandma's.
Pitched Conan in the morning. Topped wort up to 1.046 |

Kegged.
Added 2g gypsum. Was 4.3pH before gypsum added.
Added around 1 oz Corn Sugar to keg to scrub O2.
Lost about 30% available starches for conversion with the old crush, probably higher if you remove the DME addition.
Early tastes indicate a nice, bright Pale Ale. |

30, 12oz bottles ready for Joe to pickup on this Super Bowl Sunday.
I don't really care for the Conan in a pale, like this one. My preference though, this will still be a hit.
