Gravity reading was at 70F
Boil was very heavy/aggressive rolling boil for the whole hour to bring the volume down. Three cups of sugar was measured out with a cup measure but the hop additions were done by eye. |

6 days after brew day
Temperature measured with cleaned and sanitized thermometer stuck right in top of fermenter and read to be 65F.
Wet towel and water bucket removed from outside of fermenter and blow off tube replaced with airlock.
Bubble 1 about every 4 seconds.
Taste: very sweet with prominent fruity/pear flavor followed by hing of tartness and even slighter almost non existent bitterness. Alcohol flavor almost completely covered up. This could be a very dangerous beer.
Color: very pretty amber/orange in appearance. Still very hazy, probably due to the busy yeast.
Aroma: almost purely pear of moderate strength. Significantly less aromatic than the Belgian Blond and no detectable banana. |
