2/3 a cup of DME in 2L H2O, yeast used was 2 16 oz mason jars from the harvested Scotch Ale (white labsWLP028)
The starter was split into two sanitized growlers and shaken vigorously before adding the yeast.
Yeast nutrient estimated from directions and then added to growlers after yeast pitched (not added to the boil)

1 bubble about every 8 seconds.
beer still very hazy. Looks like yeast still in suspension.
Aroma: hard to describe but slightly fuity, maybe like wine grapes? Not obtrusively sweet though.
Taste: Sweet coco balanced with clean bitterness and touch of alcohol. There is also a little bready/yeasty flavor embodied in the beer. Once again hard to describe aftertaste, maybe licorice?
Overall so far not as bready, full bodied and dark as I was hoping, but possibly more balanced. There is still secondary and coffee addition yet to come.
