Bit of an odd brew day this one, Ian came round and we messed with my bike in between brewing. Forgot to put the bloody filter into the GF which didn't help with timing! Had to pump all the wort out fit the filter and then put the wort back again. Volumes were all over the place, too much water in the sparge. The mash was too thick at 2.7 lts per kg so will up this to a standard 3lts per kg from now on. Wanted 28lts pre boil at 1.055 got 31 lts at 1.063??? Need to move the efficiency up from 70% too this is quite clear. |
