Undershot initial infusion added about 1 liter boiling water to kettle. Hit 154 after infusion. At end of 90 min mash temp was 151. Turn stove on to 400 really helped. Sparged with 1.5 liters of 170 degree water increased efficiency. |

Ended with 1.062. Cooled wort to 70 and it dropped to 67 degrees. Rehydrated yeast and aerated the wort for 40 seconds. |

The beer overall is really tasty. Clean coffee flavor up front with a nice medium high roast note on the finish. I would probably up the Carmel malt to 1lb next time I brew this. Got a lot of great feedback on this beer. |
