Serving temperature must be 50F or above to appreciate the depth of this beer. Very balanced and very aromatic as expected.
8/10. |

I don't think I am anywhere near the Real Pliny the Elder but it's a good IPA. It is not as fragrant as it should be. I have to practice dry-hopping more. A little too malty still. The hops are not bitter enough but it just keeps getting better. 8/10. |

A friend compared this to Otter Creek Backseat Berner and liked it less. 6/10.
Pliny should taste like an Imperial IPA and it simply does not. It is enjoyable but the hop aroma is not distinctive enough and the ABV is nowhere where it needs to be. Maybe more time in the bottle to age? |

After a 2nd tasting, Erik and I have discovered that this must be consumed at room temperature. Otherwise the layers can't be tasted. |

Tried it after hockey. Two things are missing. First, it was dry-hopped too long. It lacks the citrus hop I was after. Second, not even close to being Imperial. Simply not high enough ABV. I think I would be better at this now after so many other brew sessions. My measurements, process, and observations are so much tighter now. |
