Split batch. Abbey yeast in barrel fermenter in room. US05 yeast in bucket fermenter in fridge at 18C. Pitch temp. around 18C, yeast already active from wort starter. |

US-05 brew. Tasted rather bland - still a lot of yeast and not finished primary. Added 12mL hop extract and 500g cane sugar |

Abbey yeast. Finished primary and already quite clear. Clean taste - not a good aroma, lots of sulfur. Added 12mL of hop extract and 500g of cane sugar |

Bottled the Abbey yeast one, with hop tea made in caffetiere and boiling water to half a pack (50g?) of Pacific Gem hops and 160g cane sugar.
The American ale one I am ditching - tastes shitty. Chemical and astringent. |
