Very soft on the palate, but mouthfeel is light. Citra is prominent in the aroma and flavor. The water profile is does a good job acentuating the bitterness. Bitterness is smooth and lingers slightly into the finish. The late addition hopping adds sweetness that is unbalanced by the bitterness. FWH should be increased to add balance. Hop spiciness (chinook) would add complexity and contribute a drier character, thus improving drinkability. Some dextrine malt would improve mouthfeel. |
