Did not use hop spider on this one -- had a pound of pellets just getting pumped around, and it worked just fine with the pump. About half a gallon of hop debris/break material ended up in the fermenter. Also missed my kettle volume by half a gallon -- forgot to top up the sparge water after transferring for the mash. Oh well! |

Kegged to #9 and #3. #9 has some extra yeast/trub, but #3 should be clear. On 30lbs gas at 38F for 24+ hours for a quick carb and taste.
The cold flat beer tasted fine to me. |

Last keg kicked on my birthday (10/16/16). This is the way to brew an IPA -- late hopping is totally the way. Tons of hop aroma and flavor and the bitterness wasn't over the top. |
