Consider using 2 lbs. of brown sugar over 1.5 lbs. to get OG up.
Suggested once wort reaches 70 degrees remove from ice bath and allow to rest for :30-:45 min., OR, whirlpool once when placed in ice bath and do not disturb wort again. Be patient for wort to cool and sediment to fall resulting in clearer wort to transfer. This will allow solids to separate from liquid resulting in a cleaner wort extraction to the Primary Fermenter. |

Racked to secondary today. Wort was a bit cloudy. SG was 1.004 nearly 90% attenuation. Plan to condition in low 50 degrees in utility room for 7-10 days. Hoping for wort clearing during this phase. Added dry hops today, too. |

Deneen says it has a fruity nose. I concur but cannot quite pin point the fruit, maybe soft citrus. Taste is mild hops with a bitter back end left on the palate. Predicting this to be a likeable summer on the back porch afternoon ale... - SW |
