Strike water at 168 but mash only ended up at 153 then fell to 151. Could have been due to the ambient temp in the garage. Grain had sat at 10-12 degrees for an hour or so |

Decocted 6 quarts. Boiled for 20 min. Big change in colour and smell. Lots of melanoidins. Also kicked the mash up a degree or two |

Did a bunch of juggling with the Orenda part of the batch. Gravity was too high on Chock and too low on Orenda. Used the pitcher to move wort back and forth |

Had to add 2 litres of RO water from house water dispenser to Whirlpool at 160 degrees then went down to 145 |

Quite chewy-malty up front with notes of roast and toffee. Herbal hops nicely compliment this and the beer finishes reasonably clean |
