Nice stable head, almost crystal clear, deep red-brown colour on target. Lots of Coriander in aroma (duh), alcoholic and slighly 'rummy' a bit rough in the finish (Belgian Record is not really a noble hop) |

Side by side with Rochefort 8 (1 year old).
Colour and clarity: exactly right
Head: exactly right. .
Aroma: Hops and yeast ok, Coriander subdued to correct level. Not the same 'funky' Roch aroma's, but similar Westvleteren esters, banana almost gone.
Bitterness: slightly higher than Roch'8, ok
Body: 8 has a bit more than Roch'8, ok
Not a bad attempt at all.

Last bottle. Full body, stable head, mellowed quite nicely. Hint of Port aroma if you look for it, but surpringly clean and tasty for a four year old. |
