WARNING: Kettle losses > 2% detected which throw off OG calculation for extract/partial mash recipes in batch target 'fermentor' mode. Solution: Reduce kettle losses, misc losses and hops absorption in equipment profile, OR set batch target to 'kettle' and do a full wort boil. See batch target FAQ.

Notes
  1. Boil water to 170F deg. Turn off heat add all grains and steep for 30 minutes. Remove grains. I use a grain bag.
  2. Return wort to a boil and add 6 lbs of liquid malt extract, 1# dry malt extract and 1oz of hops. Stir till dissolved. Boil for 60 mins. Add .5 tsp Irish moss in the last 10 mins of boil.
  3. Turn off heat and add honey and 1oz of hops, cover let steep for 15 mins.
  4. Cool and strain into a fermentor, add enough water to equal 5 gals. Add yeast. Ferment for 21 days total.
  5. Add 1oz Saaz Hops after 14 days of fermentation. Leave in for seven days.
