Starting Mash pH 5.3. After hot water addition went down to 5 at 30 min. Ended at 4.9. |

Starting Mash Temp 150, added half gallon 170 water to kick it up. Ramped up to 154-156 at 30 min. Ended at 151 with some stirring. |

Added 7 gallons of strike water at 162F. Did a 3 gallon batch sparge at 170F. Plus squeezed bag. Got a very high efficiency (maybe too high - definitely not a session beer anymore!). Ended with .5 - 1 gallon more wort than expected. |

Tested refractometer on bottled water twice & it came out to just below 1.005. Also tested this gravity twice and came out the same both times. Seems like it's probably on... hopefully I did not extract too many tannins. |

Not terribly hop forward. Good citrus notes, however. Ends a bit spicy - could be phenols? |
