Krausen was insane a mere 12 hours after pitching the carboy had to be fitted with a blowoff hose to accomodate the pressure. Strong Yeast i think maybe only going for 12 hours with starter makes it go crazier. |

Although the temperature never spiked above 65F this batch seems to have died down very quickly after just a few days of strong activity in the primary. It still seems fine and is apparently not infected yet the yeast seems to have slowed way down. Perhaps it will still process well just slower....it is by no means dead yeast just much decreased in activity.
