WARNING: Boil kettle capacity (12 gal | 48 qt) exceeded. Volume required: 16.95 gal (67.8 qt). Suggest reducing initial water volume to 9.07 gal (36.3 qt) and adding 4.95 gal (19.8 qt) sparge/top-off.
Heat water added to kettle (equipment estimates 14.41 g | 57.6 qt) 4.38 17.5
Mash volume with grains (equipment estimates 14.41 g | 57.6 qt) 4.7 18.8
Grain absorption losses (steeping) -0.5 -2
Volume increase from sugar/extract (early additions) 0.12 0.5
Pre boil volume (equipment estimates 14.02 g | 56.1 qt) 4 16
Volume increase from sugar/extract (late additions) 2.93 11.7
Boil off losses -1.5 -6
Hops absorption losses (first wort, boil, aroma) -0.45 -1.8
Post boil volume 15 60
Going into fermentor 15 60
WARNING: Kettle losses > 2% detected which throw off OG calculation for extract/partial mash recipes in batch target 'fermentor' mode. Solution: Reduce kettle losses, misc losses and hops absorption in equipment profile, OR set batch target to 'kettle' and do a full wort boil. See batch target FAQ.
