Both beers were a big hit for the holiday. The APA is great with a big Cascade nose and a nice toasty malt flavor. Perhaps a bit thin on mouthfeel but quite drinkable.
The BPA is also very good and remarkably different. It is amazing what the T-58 yeast can do to a beer. It is a much cloudier beer than the APA. The spicy/sour taste goes nicely with the very floral nose. Very happy with this split batch experiment - though wouldn't mind having a full batch of either! |
