Notes

My second attempt at a Blind Pig recipe, but this is the first one since I got all that learnin'!

I used RO water and added my own water treatments prior to mashing in. Also added .25 lb of acidulated malt to drive the pH down more. It's a kit, but they don't tell you to do those things.

I will also add 1g of Potassium Metabisulfate when I dry hop.

Note that I added my own Magnum hops to help get the IBUs up (I was send hops with very low AA).

The beer didnt get to 1.016 a few days ago like I had hoped, but I raised the temp a few days ago from 66 to 70 degrees today. I dry hopped last night since we are leaving on Saturday for WV. Gotta get it kegged on Friday. I ended up adding.5 oz Cascade cryo hops just to give it all a little boost since the hops will only be there for 3 days.

Decided to cold crash the beer using the Brewtech FTS, hit 50 degrees after 2 hours this afternoon...should keep it cold until tomorrow afternoon. The plan is to add Biofine to the secondary fermenter then "close transfer" it to a keg and hook it up to the kegerator.
