I was expecting something quite neutral, but it has middling phenolic notes. I wonder if the Hornindal yeast was infected of if this is just how it behaves at cold temperature(~22°C). Very clear, crisp. Very good saison, not much like the lager-like ale I expected. |

Now that it had enough time for other smells to clean out, there is clear green-apple smell of acetaldehyde -> bad batch. Will repeat with fresh/different yeast. |
