Notes

“There are no mistakes, just happy accidents.” - Bob Ross

I started with a sound, simple Kölsch recipe. Pilsner + Vienna Malts, Tradition + Hersbrucker hops, Wyeast 2565 yeast. However, I totally mismeasured the grains as I was brewing and ended up with half of what I needed in my mash. So my dilemma was - throw the wort away or just go with it and make it up? And I went with the latter! I added some belgian candi sugar that I had leftover from an older recipe and crossed my fingers that we would get something magical!

So here we are - Hippie River! Named after a song that my sister and I wrote when we were young about our love for Bob Ross. This one is for both my sis and for Bob - cheers!
