First brew with the outdoor setup at Poole Road. Brewed same day as with Persistent Poole Problem Solver.
Had accidental boil-over a few times (burner is HOT and FAST), but cleanup was super easy outside.
Lots of space to spread out and hose from indoor bathroom for hot water speed up boil and cleanup.
Thinking of buying an ice maker.
Might need bigger pots... easier to do vigorous boil without risk of boil-over and to avoid need to top-up water (which I had to do on both batches).
Quick brew day doing two extract batches! Start to finish including cleanup in about 5.5 hours (9:30am to 3pm). Next time try to start earlier! Time savings next time if I have an ice maker (45 mins) and by not accidentally having too much steeped black wort for my pot size (45 mins).
Makes me want to keep doing extract brews! If I do all grain next time... maybe borrow Christian's pot or buy a big one. |
