had a plug of hops in the kettle, need to use hop sock next time. Also forgot to take my ph reading during mash. Pitched roughly 1000ml of yeast slurry. Used harvested yeast from Heffe batch with Wort in a can starter. Already appears to be fermenting. |

had an equipment failure while packaging had to use siphon. Had a lot of yeast, picked up a lot of yeast. first three pours have had a lot of sediment. Kinda dry for a wheat beer and I think the yeast was over pitched. I used the dump from the previous hefeweizen, It came out clean and more hoppy then is good for the style. Im not very happy with the result |

Looking up my efficiency issues I think my problem is I need to not turn on the circulation pump for at least 10 minutes during the mash. |

Beer ended up okay. Bad first impression was due to racking too much yeast into the keg. came out as a lighter version of the Heffe. By lighter I mean less alcohol. Beer was a light brown, had the yeast character and overall was well liked. Not satisfied however as it really didnt have anything that distinguished it from the heffe other than the color and a tiny bit of caramel character |
