Added a half teaspoon each to mashing water of gypsum and cacl. Recipe was originally another 1.5 kg of ale malt but forgot. Mash temp 63 very low for some reason. Used fresh pack of yeast. Mash ph was 5.9 so might be very astringent. Had a stuck mash at start, pulled liquid out to fast and sucked down grain. |
