Heat water added to kettle (equipment estimates 4.86 g | 19.4 qt) 4.56 18.3
Mash volume with grains (equipment estimates 4.86 g | 19.4 qt) 4.77 19.1
Grain absorption losses (steeping) -0.33 -1.3
Volume increase from sugar/extract (early additions) 0.26 1.1
Pre boil volume (equipment estimates 4.8 g | 19.2 qt) 4.5 18
Boil off losses -1.5 -6
Hops absorption losses (first wort, boil, aroma) -0.03 -0.1
Post boil volume (equipment estimates 3.27 g | 13.1 qt) 3.5 14
Hops absorption losses (whirlpool, hop stand) -0.02 -0.1
Going into fermentor (equipment estimates 3.48 g | 13.9 qt) 3.25 13
WARNING: Kettle losses > 2% detected which throw off OG calculation for extract/partial mash recipes in batch target 'fermentor' mode. Solution: Reduce kettle losses, misc losses and hops absorption in equipment profile, OR set batch target to 'kettle' and do a full wort boil. See batch target FAQ.

Notes

Mini-mash flaked barley with 2-row at 152° F until converted. Add sulfate to water to achieve 40 ppm Ca++

Dilute extract and steep with RO water.

Steep dark grains in 3 qt water at 168° during mini-mash. Combine worts in kettle, dilute extract to get to 4.5 gallons of wort. Add hops to combined worts to simulate FWH.
