Dreadful start to the mash - pump clogging, no bed settling. Took 30 mins to settle down. Have now realised the re-circulation pump is working too hard and forcing the recirculation straight through the bed and filter, the strong whirl pool also 'cones' the malt leaving shallow channels at the perimeter. Will use much lower recirculation pressure in subsequent brews.
Once we'd changed circulation angle - we get get a clearing of the wort after 30 mins - but never reached the clarity we would usually have expected |

10% below target - most likely the inefficient mash parameters identified earlier which we will remedy for the next brew.
Full 1.5 yeast starter (including liquor) added to the fermenter and placed into the fermentarium at 16oC |

2x full cornies filled, purged and put under CO2 @14psi to condition in keezer.
Slight haze to the finished green beer.
Each corny primed with 8-10g of PolyClar to see if it helps the haze |
