Notes

For those interested - this was a hacked Brewer's Best kit. I added the pound of Blackswaen Biscuit malt for the 8 oz in the kit.

Just kegged and made 12 bottles for curious locals. The Mangrove Jack M44 was a little elderly, about 6 weeks past its date...but it is supposed to be a chico strain - anyway, it didn't dry out as much as I hoped...finished at 1.010. After a week or two on gas, I'll give it a taste. I did get better attenuation than predicted above.

If this had been US05 - it would have dried out to the bone - down around 1.005 or lower. I had the M44 and needed to use it...

I'll have to use it again to confirm this is its' behavior - I fermented at 64 for 14 days and then crashed to 38 for a week. Clear, clean transfer to keg. Hope it tastes good when I sample it.
