Causal Fail - American Pale Ale

Background

This is a tribute to one of my favourite easy drinking pale ales: Brighton's Unbarred Casual Pale Ale. It's a fairly dry, tropical fruit, easy drinking pale ale, great for summer. This is my half-hearted attempt to brew it. I just used stuff in my usual brewing inventory. So, Maris Otter (Pale ale malt), torrefied wheat (close to flaked wheat) and Flahavan's Organic Jumbo Oats (yeah, they are rolled oats) go in as I'm lazy. After all, it's all about the hop bill!
The hops, I've used Challenger for a smooth bitterness and then that combination of Cascade and Mosaic as late additions and dry hopping. No high karusen hops with this one, just a post-fermentation dry hop. Total dry hop is 3.5 g/L to be done on cold crash. US-05 yeast used for a dry finish. Closed-transfer to keg and then get it to 2.5 vols CO2. Then enjoy!
