Notes

06/13/21 First time with this recipe, made up on the fly. Looking for a malt forward ale with a deep amber color and a medium hop punch.
8 gal mash at 153 for 90 min. Pre-boil gravity = 1.045, OG = 1.055
Added 4 gm CaCl and 7 gm Gypsum.
Saphir was a last-minute addition to make up for running out of Amarillo (originally planned for 1 oz.)
Pitched a 1.5 L starter of 1056 (Gen II)

06/14/21 Active fermentation 8 hrs after brewing.
