* Added 87g of dextrose (pre-disolved in 100ml of water/boiled and cooled)
* Added 1/3 tsp of 100% ascorbic acid (vit C) (pre-disolved in boilded/coold water) for preservative/anti-oxidant.
* Dosed the headspace or racking bucket with C02
* Dosed each bottle with C02 prior to bottling
* 24x750ml ABC bottles filled and sealed with oxygen scavenging crown-caps
Dregs taste test:
* primarily bready aroma with slight spice and citrus (Kveik orangy?) esters.
* taste clean and crisp bready and slight citrus taste
* Body is medium-light
Gone back into fridge/cabinet for secondary ferment at 24C

Beer is very flat at 3 days ferment (remember this is Kveik!). Waited for another week. Beer is still flat. WIll re-prime and hope for the best.
Tasting notes:
* 'bready' lagery aroma and slight orange, floral, spice notes
* crisp, clean bready taste with the classic Voss Kviek orange and spice esters featuring lightly.
* medium body
* good light Kolsch colour
* Crystal clear when not refrigerated, but goes slightly hazy when chilled. Chill haze... is this Kviek doing this? |
