Notes:
PBG - 1.049 (refract) 1.048 hydrometer - 66'F - After Sparging I ended up with 6.75 Gallons, so I boiled for 90 min. Started the bittering at 60 min, so counting this as 60 min boil. |

Yeast pitched, blow off connected. Wort tastes good, like a solid ale. |

Tastes a bit sweet. Really good. Not as dark as I remember Red Tail being. Wouldn't mind more copper.

What a shit show.
I decided, after bottling the kolsch with the beer gun, that I should transfer from my BetterBottle to my Catalyst, then cold crash, then keg it up now that I had an empty keg...
First, I lost about 1/2 gallon from the catalyst because I didn't close the sampling port.
Then, I found out my Catalyst doesn't fit entirely in my fridge.
Then, I splashed about a quart of star san all over myself, as I tried to catch the container holding it over.
And last but not least, the carb keg lid started leaking, but I caught that right away. Added keg lube, reseated, and it was good to go. (Future Roland here - It's actually Sunday, and the beer's been at 15 psi for 27 hours, and it's decently carbonated, but I'm going to leave it carbing for another 12ish hours or so.)
The beer itself tastes ok, a bit light and might need more hops... I'll wait a few days but I do have some El Dorado Hop Oil... |
