Activity decreased, primary probably finished a few days ago.
Thawed the rhubarb, food processor, then 24hrs in a bowl loosely covered with a campden tab reduced to powder.
Today, dumped the rhubarb directly in primary fermenter, no bag. Stirred semi vigorously with sanitized spoon, temp control still at 30. There were clumps on the iSpindel (could help explain the weird readings). Took a sample for hydrometer as well. |

Excellent brew. Will do again.
Strong carbonation = good (but challenging to pour)
How it looks: pale pink, ended up very clear in the keg after a few weeks in the kegerator
How it tastes: balanced and subtle. really good. clean, crisp, refreshing, tart acitdity, rhubarb flavor is subtle but present. Next time could up the rhubarb by a few 100s grams to see what happens. |
