Initial changes:

  • reduced roasted barley 0.75 to 0.50 (for color)
  • changed from maris otter to golden promise
    Dec 2, 2020:
  • scaled from 75% to 70% brewhouse efficiency
    Jan 2021
  • restored to Maris Otter
  • reduced roasted barley, swapped rest for brown malt to reduce roast flavor and color
  • use only UK malt.
  • 80% brewhouse efficiency compared to 68% last time. Only conscious changes were switch to Maris Otter and double-crushing.
  • Tasting notes: Color good; minimal hop aroma as expected, however, still a touch too sweet...maybe reduce the crystal?
