Notes

This recipe is my own creation. My goal was a wintery Black IPA. As this style is sometimes known as a Cascadian Dark Ale (CDA), living in Seattle it seemed only natural to stick to that theme. The grains are nothing special; I used Skagit Valley Malting Pilot Pale since my LHBS has it, but any plain 2-row would be fine. I chose entirely hops from the Pacific Northwest.

The water adjuncts are obviously specific to my local water.
