Steeping grains changes:
- 111g Dark Crystal Malt
- 114g Melanoidin
- 3L water used for steeping
Main Brew changes:
- 2.177kg Liquid Malt Extract
- 14g Northern Brewer and 7g Chinook used at 60min
- 17g Chinook used at 5min
- 5.5L water used for boil, lost ~2L in boil
- left to cool overnight
Fermentor setup changes:
- added ~1.4L of post-boil wort into each of 2x5L demijohns
- topped each up with ~3.5L of water
- pitched ~3g Safale US-05 into each of the 2 demijohns, then shook up to aerate
- added overflow hose valves in a water-filled glass as airlock |

Separated out and labelled, using 47g Dextrose for the 7.14L (~2.4 volumes CO2).
Put in the fermentation fridge downstairs for secondary ferment. |
