Notes

Taken from the Screwy Brewer.
His meticulous notes and reverence for the beer shows. The picture of the beer is spot on. This is the first go with the Anvil 10.5 and the Fermzilla. No pressure abilities yet, but I'll be able to ditch a lot of the trub as I'll whirlpool and get rid of the trub before racking....
Using a more dilute mash (2 qts/#) will allow me to skip the mash out step. I will sparge with 175 degree water to bring pre-boil volume to 6.5 gallons....
Some recipes call for Victory Malt to add a toasty bisquit flavor. I'll add Melanoiden instead, at a very low level (.25#)....
If I hit my 70% efficiency I'll be over 5% ABV whilst Anchor Steam is at 4.9%.....
23 Aug/ Packaged all ingredients and will put the stareter up. I'll condition and crush day of or night before brewday.
