Notes

The SWASHbuckler is an intense hefeweizen-like wheat beer but with heavier body and mouthfeel. The red wheat adds doughy, malty, bready flavor, and aroma. The yeast throw tons of fresh citrus notes, citrus zest, and stone fruit esters such as peach and apricot into the beer. The hops provide big orange, grapefruit, melon, and peach aromas and flavors.

So... to single wheat, or not to single wheat. The mouthfeel, body, and flavors of a single wheat beer without a base malt may be a bit much for most people to handle, so tread lightly. If you love wheat beers and are looking for something a little more substantial, then this might be right for you.

*The SWASHbuckler meets all the BJCP style guidelines to be considered a weizenbock except color. It is less than a degree lighter.
