Notes

Bell's Hopslam Clone
Heat 4.5 gallons to 163°F. Preheat mash tun with one gallon at least 10 minutes before. Put in remaining 3.5 gallons of strike water and add grains.
70 minute mash:

  1. keep mash at 150°F for 45 minutes.
  2. slowly ramp up temperature to 170°F over period of 15 minutes by adding 2 gallons of boiling water.
  3. once temperature of 170°F is reached, rest for remaining 10 minutes.

    Vorlauf

    Sparge 175°F water until 6.5 gallons of wort is collected.
