WARNING: Kettle losses > 2% detected which throw off OG calculation for extract/partial mash recipes in batch target 'fermentor' mode. Solution: Reduce kettle losses, misc losses and hops absorption in equipment profile, OR set batch target to 'kettle' and do a full wort boil. See batch target FAQ.

Notes

Specialty grains get steeped at 155 degrees Fahrenheit for a full hour, outside of that, routine brew...make sure your blowoff tube is well attached, though! I usually use leftover hops in this recipe, the high IBU is a good way to get rid of spare.

This one sure isn't going to win any competitions, it's it's own style. Taste-wise, it's somewhere between an American barleywine, some kind of Belgian, and some kind of strong stout. Personally, I like it!
